Twitter whistleblower to testify in Senate hearing

Twitter's former head of security will testify before a Senate hearing in
September. Peter "Mudge" Zatko alleges the social media giant has significant security issues with user data. He's also accusing twitter officials of misleading the company's board and its regulators. Zatko's upcoming hearing will happen on the same day twitter shareholders are expected to vote on the potential take-over deal with Elon Musk. Musk attempted to kill the agreement last month, saying twitter has not been honest about spam and fake bots on the platform. Twitter sued musk in an attempt to make him accept the deal.
