A common question asked of people who have married a Filipina and gotten a visa is how long did it take? I will run down some dates for you today. Subscribe to Love Beyond The Sea where my hope is that you might be able to work on your own relationship timeline with a woman from the Philippines. Remember to get notifications for upcoming videos and leave comments either here or in the Community Corner message forums called the Relationship Lounge and the Lifestyle Lounge. You can sign up for a newsletter for the next livestream time to be sent straight to your email.

I remember one night we were lying in bed asking each other “do you believe we are together now?” We were pondering the events between getting married in the Philippine and her immigration to America. The time went by so fast and I was worried it would feel like an eternity. If you are concerned about having to wait this process out when you find a Filipina, well, you know how fast life goes, you will be together faster than you think. It seems like a blur now.

Our time line was this:
Joined Christian Filipina on March 13, 2015
Winked at her March 17, 2015
Proposal accepted on April 4, 2015 (18 days of 4-7 hours of communication per day)
Flew to Philippines on April 25, 2015 after getting passport and vaccinations
Gave her the ring on April 26, 2015 when I proposed to her
My Manila appointment for a document stating I was single on April 27, 2015
Flew to Davao City later that day to move into my condo
Met her family and friends, prepared for our wedding
Married on May 10, 2015
Start honeymoon on May 13, 2015
Depart Philippines on May 22, 2015
Paperwork for spousal visa initiated (Thanks Christian Filipina!)
Priority date of June 4, 2015
Wife’s interview in Manila December 1, 2015
Wife’s USA arrival on January 11, 2016
SSN in January, 2016
Green card February, 2016 (paid in December)
Renewed end of 2017
Paper green card received at the end of 2017
Waiting for actual ten-year green card.

I hope your timeline is moving along well with your Love Beyond The Sea.
