Johns Hopkins University economics professor Mark Goldwein tries to explain to CNN's Poppy Harlow that student loan forgiveness will only accelerate inflation.

Harlow is confused and inexplicably counters that since inflation is already high, it doesn't really matter at this point.

This is comically simplistic.
