STRESS AND PRESSURE LEAD TO BAD DECISIONS. Values will offset the stress!!
Decisions made under pressure are often decisions made with little evaluation of the long term consequences.

Most humans will succumb to the “fight or flight” emotions, hormones and biochemicals in the brain and body. These instincts generally push us to make decisions which solve ONLY what seems to be the immediate threat or danger.

First responders, pilots, athletes, professional fighters and medical professionals all train to respond in such intense situations so that their reflexive response will be based more on training than reacting in a crisis.

Relationally speaking, we should all establish our own core values and practice/ rehearse/ train ourselves to respond with those value based decisions under any circumstances. This exercise will allow us to face the stress of this season of life with the confidence our decisions were made long before we got into such dire circumstances.
