ARE YOU INVESTING, WASTING OR PASSING PANDEMIC TIME? by J Loren Norris

IF THE CRISIS WERE OVER IN A FEW SHORT WEEKS, WILL YOU HAVE INVESTED THE TIME? PASSED THE TIME? OR WASTED THE TIME?

Most Americans admire or are envious of the European Holiday. Not just the destinations but the 30 days of respite. 30 days to rest, relax, recoup and rejuvenate. 30 days to do what ever you wish. 30 days to unplug from the daily grind. What an incredible opportunity to step out of the rat race and catch your breath.

BUT IF you had that time, what would you do with it?

Would you go fishing?
Take the family on a camping trip?
Visit exotic places you have never been?
Volunteer to help someone else?
Take care of a loved one who is ill?
Encourage those who are struggling?
Take a class?
Read some good books?
Watch several educational videos to deepen your understanding?
Stare at the television and fill you mind with mush?
Watch the never ending news cycle and feast on fear?
Escape into video games?
Binge watch reruns by the season?

SO MANY OPTIONS!! Only so much time.

Like life, this season will be over faster than you expect. For some, not soon enough. For others, long before they are prepared. Trust me when I say, the world as it was January 1, 2020 is no longer ours to be enjoyed or endured. Some relationships, industries, business operations, employment opportunities are gone the way of the horse and buggy. Some new ways of coping are on the horizon. Would be heroes are decimated and new ones will take their place.

Take heed now!! Invest the time you have now!! Time is not waiting for anyone and if you are not investing this time to prepare for next, you will find yourself in the shadows of a day gone by wondering where it has gone.
