Parrot fish are a large group of marine fish species that inhabit tropical and subtropical shallow waters around the world, especially on coral reefs, coral beaches and seagrass beds, and play an important role in the greatest species abundance found in Indo-Pacific waters. The length of the parrot fish can reach 47 cm, and can be distinguished by shape and color. His appearance can change during this phase of his life. During the initial phase, it is reddish to brown in color, there are six to seven dark horizontal stripes along the body and red fins. In male parrotfish, during the final phase, the back of the body and the underside of the head appear more brightly colored and the tail fin appears turquoise in color with large orange and crescent-shaped areas.
