LOCUSTS

Grasshoppers are a group of insects belonging to the Order Orthoptera and Suborder Caelifera, being one of the largest groups of herbivorous insects in the world. Although they are well known as pests that destroy crops, most do not cause this type of damage. Locusts are distributed in about 25,000 species, most of them terrestrial.
