MYG Annuity Pros and Cons. When Cons are really Pros but for content Cons are needed. Agent limits!

The overall safety, competitiveness and client friendly abilities of the (MYGA) Multi-Year Guarantee Annuity have been downplayed by the insurance industry and perceived industry regulations.

Just because a annuity product feature benefits and protects the insurance company does NOT make it a Con!

Looking at these so called Cons with insurance colored glasses make them appear as they truly are, Pros! Pros for the client and the insurer.

Common features called Cons:
Surrender Charge: Limits a clients downside in the event of earlier liquidation or distributions from the initial time frame the client agreed to.

Market Value Adjustment: Protects the insurance company from a run on the assets under management. Stops a run on the bank, if you will.

Lack of Liquidity: Annuities offer free withdrawal provisions. If liquidity is an issue be sure to pick an annuity product with liquidity options that meet the clients needs. Do not choose one without free withdrawals if a client like liquidity, pretty simple, right?
