Dallas First Responders Rescue Drivers From Flooded Cars After Flash Flooding

Heavy rain led to flash flooding in Dallas early Monday morning leaving some drivers stranded and others fleeing their cars as high water swept them off the road. NBC5 reported.

Dallas Police worked to rescue stranded drivers after several vehicles were partially submerged at Cesar Chavez and Interstate 45 in Dallas. NBC5 reported.

Parts of northeast Texas received 4 to 7 inches of rain over a 24-hour period ending this morning, and more than 4 inches fell around Shreveport, Louisiana. The Weather Channel is reporting.

Dallas County is under a flash flood warning until at least 1 p.m. Monday. Flooding has impacted neighborhoods near downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum and Fair Park. The Dallas Morning News reported.
