Obituary
Shirley Campbell Blackman, age 87, of Cameron, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Brad Marona and Tom Everett officiating. Burial will follow at House Of The Lord Church Cemetery in Cameron. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m.

Shirley was born in Moore County on November 23, 1934 to the late Claude Carson and Dora Williamson Campbell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Daniel Blackman, daughter, Doris Martin, sister, Lois Ring and brothers, Albert, Ervin, Marvin, Jimmy, Carl, Paul and son-in-law, Robert Martin.

Shirley’s gift of singing and playing the piano was a blessing to so many people. She was a simple, humble woman and truly lived her life to serve and please The Lord.

She is survived by her daughters, Nora Blackman of Virginia, Joyce Faulkner (Ted) of Carthage, Linda Wegner (Scott) of Pinehurst and Rachel Blackman of Cameron; sister, Alice Oakley of Cameron; brother, Howard Campbell (Brenda) of Cameron; nine grandchildren, Robbie Martin (Crystal), Josh Martin (Melissa), Shelby Faulkner-Wooten, Dorian Faulkner-Guthrie, John Daniel Faulkner, Julia Faulkner- McLeod, Clara Wegner, Nicholas and Daniel Midgett; twelve great-grandchildren, Justin, Cara-Beth and Wesley Martin, Caitlin, Jacob and Tucker Martin, Madeline and Emma Wooten, Juliana and Davis Guthrie, Hugh McLeod and Ava Bradshaw.
