Love Beyond The Sea is a biblical pro-marriage channel to help encourage and inspire men to pursue a Filipina for marriage.

My channel is to equip men for this pursuit and to be the kind of husband every Filipina wants.

I will talk about as many aspects of marital relationships to a Filipina that I can. We've been married since May 10 of 2015, getting married in only 54 days from across the world.

I want to talk about giving and receiving and keeping score today. When you are married, you want to give to your wife but you naturally also want to receive back from them. I’m going to get into how that might apply in a marriage to a Filipina.

In the early days of a relationship with a Filipina, the attention, the perceived need to help her can be overwhelming for a western man. You almost have to experience it for yourself to understand. It is a real “high” to make a connection with a Filipina whose beauty alone might make you not think straight.

In our case, by day 54 I had already married my dream Filipina in a whirlwind relationship, where I was determined to find a good wife, although I had been stonewalled at every turn until 2015. I don’t feel like I threw all caution to the wind as I hope you can tell by my 830 or so videos. I was reasonably sure I knew what I was doing and looking back, we were more or less shortening the dating period to the minimum. When dating a Filipina, should you make sure that you are not giving more than you are receiving? That’s easier said than done. Does it matter if one gives more than the other or receives more than the other? Please comment below.

In the early days, the western man looking for a woman in the Philippines is going to do more giving, because he has more to give than she does. If we are talking financially, he will be able to give to her to meet some needs, provided that they have something serious going on between them. If they are close, he certainly can buy her some things such as a phone that would help their communication. If you love someone then you do whatever you can for the betterment of the relationship, and I don’t think you have to be married to do that.

However, I said if they are serious; you need to be very careful to avoid sending money to someone you have no intention of being able to marry someday. It can become very easy to do and if she is not sincere, she can mightily take advantage of the love-struck westerner.

Having said that, I think the dynamics change when married. Maintaining a scorecard of sorts, I believe, needs to be exchanged for doing all you can for the good of the other. Beyond that I need to care for her needs physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, relationally. Anyone not interested and driven to do that is not ready to marry any woman.
