I had a great great uncle. My Dad's Dad's Dad's Brother. My Great Grandfather's brother. They both worked for the AT&SF Railroad. I am not sure of Ben's job but Gr Grandad was a Bridge Foreman who built railroad bridges all over Texas. Most are still there. Anyway, Ben served in World War One in the infantry using the 1917. I have many artifacts of his; books from boot camp, a bayonet, and his railroad watch. I ALWAYS wanted to find a pristine 1917 to go with the War artifacts. Recently I found a Sporterized Enfield for $200. Well I already had the correct stock. some time and patience with both Numrich Arms and eBay and well this video shows the results.
