A dog in Spain got the chance to swim with a dolphin—and the dog jumped at the opportunity.

The dog, named Leon, was hanging out at a beach in Galicia, Spain when he noticed something swimming nearby. It was a dolphin! The two quickly became friends, and Leon was eager to take advantage of his new buddy's swimming prowess.

The pair spent hours splashing around together, chasing each other through the water and playing hide-and-seek among the waves. They even held hands for a while!

Leon's owner said that she was surprised by how well the two animals got along: "They were almost like best friends."
