In Florida, the inspection period is a clause that is built into the standard realtor purchase contract in Florida and it gives the buyer typically 10 or 15 days. It's a fill in a blank area that can be negotiated, but typically the buyer has 10 or 15 days to review the property, to perhaps review the building's financial statements original offering plan and perhaps to order a home inspection. During this inspection period the buyer may cancel for any reason prior to the inspection period elapsing. The seller however is obligated to continue with the deal unless the buyer cancels the agreement during the inspection period.
