friendlyjordies meets the police state
Disturbing footage has emerged from NSW of an incident involving a NSW Counter Terrorism Unit arresting a producer of the Youtube channel friendlyjorides and potentially assaulting his family in the process. The channel is currently defending themselves against a legal battle from the Deputy Premier of NSW John Barilaro for negative coverage.
Politically and ideologically I don't align with much of the friendlyjordies channel, their guests or their views ( constantly platforms former PM Rudd to spread his nonsense ). Having said that though I feel all these recent incidents point to an alarming increase in the authoritarian abuse of power by politicians and bureaucrats against independent media and general members of the public by using the police force as an instrumental of fear and control. It’s important we continue to call out these incidents, because it’s definitely not acceptable to see such scenes in Australia.
