The head of LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, and head of DPR, Denis Pushilin, share their views on the situation in Ukraine. The violent clashes that occurred on May 2, 2014 in Odessa, where 42 mostly anti-Maiden protesters died in a fire at the House of Trade Unions, are mentioned (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Odesa_clashes). Pasechnik says forming a militia at that time prevented a bloodbath at the hands of armed nationalist revolutionaries.

"The West will never admit there's actually a civil war and genocide of the Russian-speaking population."
