Take the food you have and plan around it. The cheapest food is the food you already have because it doesn't cost you any more. Use that odd ingredient that you bought a year ago and is still sitting in the cabinet. What about the mystery meat in the freezer and the leftovers?

Meal planning is an essential skill to learn in these times. It is important to be able to take what food you have or can get and make a meal from it. Someone else's meal plans that you purchase may include food you don't eat plus the food may be expensive. Buy your food on sale and then make your plan for the least expensive food.
