SCUM OF THE EARTH 1974 (aka Poor White Trash, Part 2 as the title stated on this version) - Newlyweds Helen and Paul go to a backwoods cabin on vacation. Paul goes back to the car for smokes and is killed with an axe. Panic-stricken, Helen runs into the woods finds a local named Odie Pickett. He takes her back to his place, where his hillbilly family greets her. Is one of them,or maybe all, responsible for the murder?

Regional Arkansas/Texas film director SF Brownrigg made low-budget films that were exploitation (aka Hixploitation) yet still thoughtful. Many value Brownrigg's work for his ability to create thrills with a minuscule budget.
