Bike Tech Test Rides My Aostirmotor S17

The other Saturday I rode my Aostirmotor S17 e-bike over to Velo+ to have them take a look at the ticking, clicking, and creaking noises that are coming from somewhere on the front of my bike. Bike tech Jeff was nice enough to come out and take a look at my bike. After a short ride he thought he knew what the problem was. He switched out one of the stem post spacers for a thinner one, to make the top of the stem more even with the top of the handlebar. I then rode my bike around the parking lot, and the noises did not go away. He noticed there was a small crack in on one area of my frame, and thought maybe that’s what was causing the noises. We could not determine if the hairline crack was only in the powder coat paint, or actually in the aluminum frame. In my opinion I don’t think this crack would be big enough to cause any of the noises. Anyways, the problem did not get solved, unfortunately. Now the count is up to two bike shops that we’re mystified by my bike noises.
