Police officers from Volusia, Florida, released footage of themselves posing as underage children in online chatrooms to catch potential child predators. The operation, called “Operation Cyber Scumbag,” led police to arrest three men who believed they were meeting girls 15 years old or younger for sex. Each subject was charged with traveling to seduce/solicit/lure a child, using a computer to seduce/solicit/lure a child, using a two-way communication device to commit a felony, and attempted lewd and lascivious battery.
