Poor Man Arrested For Cold French Fries At McDonald's - Cops Earn A Donut On This One
Cops chase, taze and arrest man for Cold Fries? Who Thinks This Sounds Reasonable
Kennesaw, Georgia — On Friday, August 5, 2022 Kennesaw Police officers were called at a local McDonald’s when a customer, 24-year-old Antoine Sims, said he was served cold fries. Investigators say Sims and the manager of the restaurant both called 911, and both told investigators that they argued over reportedly cold McDonald’s French Fries. Sims claimed he never got a receipt for the fries. The manager wanted Sims to be charged with criminal trespassing. Outside of the restaurant the cops tell Sims he cannot come back to the restaurant and ask him to sign an acknowledgement which gets him visibly nervous as he asks if he’s under arrest. Despite the officer saying he wasn’t, Sims refused to fill out the paperwork and claimed he was afraid of them.
Afterwards, he fled the scene. Officers chased Sims and were informed that he had an active warrant out of Fulton County for not appearing in court for a homicide case. Sims was located a short time later outside of an apartment complex. Officers deployed a taser to bring him down and arrested him without incident. Police found three bags of marijuana in his car, totaling 31.2 grams, the warrant continues. In addition to his existing warrant, Sims is charged with obstruction or hindering law enforcement, criminal trespass, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. He is being held at the Cobb County jail without bond.
Sims is charged in the October 2018 killing of Adelisa Muratovic, who was shot during an alleged drug deal. Police believe Muratovic, her boyfriend, Michael Smith, and another man, Deshaun Flournoy, went to an apartment in Johns Creek to buy drugs from Sims. Investigators allege the men may have been planning to rob Sims, and at some point gunfire was exchanged. Muratovic was shot while sitting in the passenger seat of Smith’s car, authorities said. Police said Sims then took the car to a Lawrenceville subdivision and set it on fire with her body still inside. It was found in flames around 3:30 the next morning. Sims, along with Smith and Flournoy, were all charged with felony murder. Both Smith and Flournoy turned themselves in about a month later, but Sims was arrested in Wisconsin in March 2019.
