This is a comparative Bible study on the events surrounding Jesus attending the Passover (John 2:124:43) after Jesus was baptized, but before John the Baptist was put in prison. This 12th part further discusses past conflicts between the Jews and Samaritans and briefly explores the heritage of the woman at the well. During this setting, Jesus is traveling through Samaria on his way to Galilee (John 4:4 – 4:43). Other verses referenced during this Bible study are: 1 Kings 14:30, 1 Kings 15:7, 1 Kings 15:16, 2 Chronicles 19:2ii, 2 Chronicles 22:9-10, 2 Chronicles 25:6-7, 2 Chronicles 25:21-22, 2 Kings 16:5, and 2 Kings 17:22-29, Ezra 4:1-5, Luke 17:15-18, 2 Chronicles 15:9, Matthew 10:5-6, Acts 1:8, Acts 8:5, Acts 8:14, Luke 2:36, Mark 5:1, 2 Chronicles 15:9, 2 Chronicles 30:18, 2 Chronicles 34:5-6, 2 Chronicles 34:9, Deuteronomy 7:2-3, Ezra 9:1-2, Ezra 10:3, Nehemiah 13:28. Overall, this is our 37th New Testament (NT) Bible study. I'm a layperson, hoping to witness things I believe I've learned through Bible study, and would like to share this information as a friend would with a friend.
