Russophobia

‘Two women said their children came back from kindergarten crying because they were insulted, bullied and pushed around’. This is the new reality Russians face abroad. Speaking Russian openly can be unsafe. People are subjected to verbal abuse and even punching.

A wave of Russophobia has hit Russians in the West in the last two months. Anyone can become a target: from an elementary school pupil to an embassy employee. Tyres are cut on the cars of Russian truckers, and the grades of students from the Russian Federation are underestimated. In some cases, Russian emigres are left without work.
