Sony Owned Funimation, Crunchyroll Merger is Failing Anime Fans

The distribution houses behind US localization of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Super, Jujutsu Kaisen, and One Piece were set to merge libraries after both Funimation and Crunchyroll were acquired by Sony. When this was announced on March 1st anime fans rejoiced. Executives behind the deal told subscribers of both Funimation Now and the Crunchyroll streaming services to cancel their Funimation subscription and keep the other service as the two would be combined in the coming months.
