Strongman-Style Cardio

I still really need to improve my conditioning, so I got motivated to do this session after checking out the results of the Shaw Classic. Obviously I'm not a strongman competitor. I simply enjoy that type of training and the assorted implements. Also, I'm clearly still way behind in my yardwork.

This was my first set of two. My intention was to complete all runs without any drops, but unfortunately my lungs and grip are not yet up to the task, For the second set I returned the tire, barbell, and farmer's handles to the barn, leaving the rock where I dropped it. It will have to stay there until another day.

If it looks like I'm moving slowly and a little awkwardly, it's because I've been somewhat hobbled lately by a case of plantar fasciitis. My left heel was quite painful, somewhat limiting my ability to push off. However, life is hard, and I believe it will get much harder soon. Sometimes you just have to be capable of working through the pain and getting the job done regardless. Thankfully now my sore hamstrings, shoulders, traps, hands, etc. make it much easier to forget about my sore foot!
