Kiev will have no chance to strike Zaporozhye NPP after some areas liberated

1. Ukraine’s shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP) in Ukraine will be over only after its military is driven away from several populated areas, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the region's military-civilian administration, told TASS on Friday.

"The end to this will be possible only after Marganets, Nikopol and Tokmakovka - areas from where the shelling comes from - are liberated, and also following the liberation of the region’s administrative center, Zaporozhye," he said. "In this case, there will be no terrorist threat." [@TASS]

2. No one except Kiev’s envoy accused Russia of shelling Zaporozhye NPP

Ukraine’s envoy to the United Nations was the only participant of the UN Security Council meeting who tried to raise the question of Russia’s alleged shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (NPP), Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said.
"The representative of the Kiev regime was the only person to claim during today’s session that Russia was shelling the Zaporozhye NPP and the city of Energodar that it controls," he said, adding that even the Kiev government’s western sponsors stopped short of doing so. "For the reasons of protocol, I would like to draw your attention to this statement, made by the Ukrainian side."

In his words, attempts to accuse Russia of shelling the facilities that it controls are "too absurd to be heard from grown-up, respectable people present in this hall." [@TASS]

3. Responsibility for potential tragic consequences of attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant will lie with US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin warned on Friday.

"Actions by Washington and the Kiev regime are fraught with a nuclear catastrophe," Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Zaporozhye NPP is being attacked with missiles and heavy artillery, "which may lead to tragic consequences for residents of most Ukrainian regions and a number of European countries," he emphasized. "Responsibility for this will lie with Biden and Zelensky, as well as European leaders, with whose acquiescence the strikes are being delivered," Volodin remarked.

The State Duma speaker also said it would be right for the European parliament to "cancel its summer recess to consider the issue that endangers the lives of European citizens."

4. Ukrainian nationalists continue to fire at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. According to Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the regional administration, one of the projectiles fired at the facility fell 10 meters from the nuclear waste storage facility.

“Step by step they hit more and more accurately. One of the shells fell in general 10 meters from the storage of spent nuclear fuel,” Rogov said on the air of the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

Earlier, he said that the perpetrators of the shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant have already been identified. They turned out to be "Zelensky's militants" - employees of the 44th artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Rogov, the attacks on the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant were carried out precisely from Nikopol.
