Word 1
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 13:4-17
• Matt 13:4-9 The parable of the Sower details the same Farmer, planting the same type of seed on three different types of soil. The issue in this case was not with the Farmer or the quality of his seed, but with the reception of the seed by the soil. Detailed explanation of this parable will be seen later. Jesus also addresses hearing. Human ears hear many sounds, but there is a deeper kind of listening that results in spiritual understanding. When speaking in parables, Jesus was not hiding truth from sincere seekers, because those who were receptive to spiritual truth understood the illustrations. To others they were only stories without meaning.

Word 2
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 13:4-17
• Matt 13:10-13 The disciples were curious to know why Jesus spoke in parables rather than in clear terms. Jesus attributed the reason to mysteries. Mysteries not because God wanted the kingdom hidden, but because Satan had blinded the minds of some people and they will never understand. In other words, the one who receives and responds to the Word of God will gain even more insight, but the one who doesn't respond, even the little understanding he has will be taken away. When people reject Jesus, their hardness of heart drives away or renders useless even the little understanding they had.

Word 3
JESUS, THE MESSIAH & ETERNAL KING Mathew 13:4-17
• Matt. 13:14-17 Why would God send Isaiah to preach to people who wouldn't listen or respond to him? Because God is a perfect gentleman, and He will not force His will on anyone. He will honor the decision of those who don't want to be saved. Jesus spoke in parables because if He spoke plainly, His presentation would have been so powerful that everyone would automatically be converted—many against their will. The Prophets of old penned prophecies concerning the coming of Christ without understanding what they were writing or how it would work out practically. Thus, Jesus says, "You're blessed because you're seeing things come to pass that confused the prophets. You're blessed because you have the opportunity to hear, to see, and to understand."

Personal Supplication
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for giving me seeing eyes, hearing ears and the spirit of discernment to know the things that are freely given to me in Christ Jesus. Eph. 1:17-19
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Daily Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover me with his feathers, and under his wings shall I trust: his truth shall be my shield and buckler.
I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come nigh me.
Only with my eyes shall I behold and see the wicked rewarded.

Because I have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation;
There shall no evil befall me neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling.
For God shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways.
They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.
I shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet.
Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set me on high, because I have known His name.
I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.

JESUS IS LORD!
