Disney/Pixar has a unique dilemma. How to move forward. Should they release films theatrically or continue to devalue their brand with streaming releases? Profit comes from the theatrical releases, but only if they are good. The last several Pixar films haven't been all that good. Lightyear was one of the worst.

The problem could be exacerbated if Lightyear has a stellar month on the streaming service after premiering last Wednesday. If that happens, Pixar may be cast permanently into the discount bin known as "streaming content". Let's dive in.
