Emergency Antenna using old telephone line wire SDR SDRplay Hi-Z HF FM AM

I always wondered how this would work. I know I had a bunch of old lines fed up to the telephone pole. Analog telephone lines usually provide between 48 and 52 volts in a non ring state. When the phone rings the voltage is stepped up to back the bell ring. Make sure your line does not have any voltage first. One of my lines still had voltage so be careful. This was just an experiment and I don't suggest you do this. Reception was great on the lower HF bands. 80 Meter and down. AM radio reception was also great. Do not transmit using this setup. You could destroy equipment.
