Just a short video of how to check for your drones maturity.

Why would you have to check? In the early spring, you do not want to rise a lot of queens and the drones are not ready to do the job yet. It is a waste of time and resources. When you start early in the spring you need to know what is going on if your queens are not mated or just not mated well enough.
