How To Play Blues Riffs On Acoustic Guitar | Spoonful Riff | Gene Petty

"Show me how to play blues riffs on acoustic guitar" they ask me.
Ok but this was originally a blues lick on electric guitar when it hit the public.
Maybe it was figured out on an acoustic guitar, I really don't know.
The point is that on acoustic, you want to take advantage of your open strings. The key of E lends itself to blues riffs guitar players have been using from day one.
This Spoonful lick requires that you bend the low E string just a little and pluck the open B and High E strings at together.
then you need to know your pentatonic scale like I expect you do.
