Error led Equifax to send wrong credit scores

Equifax, one of three major credit ratings companies, admitted it sent lenders incorrect credit scores for hundreds of thousands of people applying for home and auto loans this spring. Equifax said the errors, caused by a coding issue, were significant enough that some may have been wrongfully denied credit.
