Webber Dam Bass Fishing // The Grand River // Lyons Michigan // Michigan Fishing Destinations

In this episode I am Salmon fishing at webber Dam on The Grand river in the Portland area but The salmon aren’t Biting anything this year. It got too warm after the run started and the heat has turned the bit off. This doesn’t mean I am not gonna try. Trying to catch salmon has led me to catch lots of other cool fish. Today the smallmouth bass bite was turned on but all the fish were all small fish. Webber Dam is well known as a reasonable place for Mid Michigan fisherman to target Salmon, Steelhead and Walleye. I have caught many Mid to large sized Smallmouth Bass at webber dam in the past but today just the little guys were biting. I do a lot of bass fishing in the grand river but usually more in the Lansing area. I think that Webber Dam is a good Mixed bag fishing location. You never know what you you might catch at Webber Dam on the Grand River. As you can see the hot lure of the day was a Chartruse Mepps Spinner.
