There is always a beautiful response to the new birth life. Those who have been truly brought in to the "household of faith" always desire to work for the Lord. They are now made alive in the Spirit, and they are always looking for ways to serve the Lord. From birth to the end of life, those believers are always on-call.

Now, let me submit that all of us are called to work on His behalf according to John 15:16. I can say with certainty that we are always full of joy and happiness in serving others in Jesus name. We never tire of it. In fact we want to do more and more. It's so wonderful.

I never feel more alive than when I have done something that I know He has asked me to do. There is nothing like it because it is HIS life in me doing it. Remember God puts His workers where He puts His Son.

When a person has a call on their life they know it. They can feel the grip of God upon them like Paul the Apostle. The pattern for God's workers are that we are entrusted with a mission no different than Moses and Paul. We have to be in God's hand and be ready for Him to bend us and break us if He has to, in order to be His co-worker.

Paul said he would rather die than not preach the Gospel. The person called feels the same way. They cannot be otherwise persuaded. It is a real calling, and it is for the rest of their lives. It is not always to preach either. Whatever Jesus is calling you to do is your work commission.

Do you feel a calling on your life? Are you gripped from within that you must work for the Lord? Then it is evident that you most likely have a distinct call on your life to serve the "Great Shepherd of the sheep."

He has something certain He wants only you to do. Stay in prayer, wait for Him, and He will bring it to pass in you. The work that will be given to you will concern other lives who will become "your work in the Lord and your seal and apostleship in the Lord."

"All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom."

~King David - (Psalm 145:10-12).
