This will be a fun phonics lesson for adults to help you learn American English pronunciation. Today we will do lesson 5 in the Level 5 Adult Phonics series. We will learn the letter pair OW and it's unique sound. I will teach you how to correctly say the words Cow, Owl, Gown, Brown, Crown, and Clown in an English accent. Owl is not a hard word to say. We will learn the two vowel pair OU. I will teach you how to correctly say the words House, Mouse, Blouse, Cloud, Mouth, and Count in an American English accent. The vowel pair OU and letter pair OW are common sounds and they are important pairs in English. It is important to say OW and say OU correctly. This is why we study them in Phonics. I just want you to start to notice the patterns for spelling. I want you to focus on reading and pronouncing the sounds correctly. That is the most important part. This is how a native English speaker learns to read and speak. And you can too.

Practice speaking like this with me while you are alone. There is no pressure in my lessons, so you can relax and answer to the best of your ability.
