Star Wars News | Planet Nur in Kenobi | Return of Rey? | Morbius | Halo

Kenobi, from makingstarwars.net
On recent episodes of The Making Star Wars Show, I have spoken a little about how Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan is in pretty much every episode of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi. At one time, I did not have confirmation that she was in more than the first two to three stories. With episodes being filmed and child actors being involved, it can be a little difficult to figure it all out. Thankfully several sources have confirmed crucial details to me which have made things fall into place.

From the sound of things, if I have my story details in order and correct, the planet Nur comes to prominence in the series in the fourth episode. Princess Leia is captured and held in the headquarters of the Inquisitorius. Reva interrogates young Leia, however, even at a young age, Leia is defiant and not a rat when faced with angry inquisition.

Of course our hero Obi-Wan “Ben” Kenobi is on the case to bust the Princess out of the underwater joint. I am fairly certain he has Kumail Nanjiani in tow for assistance on this mission too. It seems when Kenobi needs to go “solo” Leia is handed off to Kumail Nanjiani’s character.

The first duel with Darth Vader may be sparked from this prison break episode. At the moment, I believe the first duel between Darth Vader and Ben Kenobi takes place on a large ship. My current theory is that the ship escapes from Nur. It may even begin there.

I hear the interrogation scene with Leia and Reva is pretty fun and well done. I’m looking forward to it.

I have seen some discourse about how Leia and Obi-Wan is somehow more of the same type of content we have seen from The Mandalorian with Grogu and Din or Omega and The Bad Batch. I really don’t feel Grogu and Omega are like Princess Leia at all. From the sounds of things, Princess Leia is very much Princess Leia as you know her and not a dumbed down kid version. That said, I haven’t seen it either, so I am only relaying what I have heard and how it has been made to seem to me.

It sounds like Nur is another “Hidden Fortress” homage in Star Wars. The original being A New Hope, of course. But don’t worry, I don’t get the vibes this is a remake because the personalities involved are a bit different than that original cast. It does play to Leia finding herself being detained for her rebellious nature, however.

Daisy Ridley:
Although Lucasfilm has a major slate of projects planned for Disney+ and the big screen, its sequel trilogy still dominates many conversations amongst Star Wars fans. The last three big-screen movies delivered a thrilling new story, featuring new stars like Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron and John Boyega's Finn. The new Star Wars trio of films also introduced fans to Daisy Ridley's Rey, who became the latest Jedi to take the spotlight.

Audiences last saw Rey settling in on Tatooine as she unsheathed a never-before-seen yellow lightsaber before officially adopting the name Rey Skywalker and looking into the sunset. This shot officially ended the Skywalker Saga as Ridley was the last character seen on screen in this nine-movie adventure, although her future is unknown.

Even though there are a few movies planned for the next few years from Lucasfilm, there are no signs pointing to where Rey could return to continue her story. However, if and when Rey does come back into the mix, Ridley made it clear that she'll be the first one ready to revisit her iconic character's journey.

Twitter user @REYSKYGOAT shared video of an interview with Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley from the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards.

When asked about a potential return to Star Wars, Ridley could only smile as she gave the blunt response "I'll always be Rey."

Having played a role in all three movies from the sequel trilogy, Ridley took her place amongst the historic cast of characters that Star Wars has built since 1977. Now, her character is taking on the responsibility of rebuilding the Jedis' place in the galaxy after defeating Emperor Palpatine's ghost and the entire First Order.

Even considering the controversial reviews, particularly toward The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, Ridley has shared plenty of positivity about her experience with the iconic sci-fi franchise. Rey became one of her defining roles, even with the sequel trilogy opening potential avenues to other blockbuster franchises in the process.

At the moment, Rey's story seems to be complete after the closing moments in The Rise of Skywalker, making a comeback for Ridley somewhat uncertain. Even so, after seeing Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, and more come back over the last few years, Ridley's name shouldn't be ignored for her own potential return.
