Perseverance
I draw upon Your Power Lord that is at work within us as I pray these words and know that you are able to do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine. With this power, now within me, I am confident in my ability to persevere and conquer those challenges that lay ahead of me, indeed transcend them, for I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me. And for this I give thanks, and so it is! Ephesians 3:20-21, Philippians 4:1-13.

When Faith Wanes
I believe, my God but help me with my unbelief when life is challenging or, when my hope and faith simply wanes. I shall not doubt any one of Your Promises, but I will grow strong in my faith, fully convinced that You will do as You have said. And for this I am thankful, and so it is! Romans 4:20-21, Mark 9:24.

Enduring Negativity From Other People
Despite the urge to lash out and strike back, I bless those who curse me or try to humiliate and embarrass me, knowing that the world is filled with broken-spirited people. I remember how Jesus was despised, and I bless those who curse me. And for this I am thankful that I can follow the example of Christ Jesus, and so it is! Luke 6:28

When My God-Enthusiasm Is Low
When we don’t feel Your Presence Lord, and we become discouraged by the evils of the world, we remember that Paul urges us to be steadfast, immovable always abounding in Your work, knowing that with our Savior, our good works are never in vain. And for this we are thankful, and so it is! 1 Corinthians 15:58.

In Times of Frustration

When things don’t go as planned and I am angry, frustrated, I turn my attention away from that and instead I focus on You, my God. I look to you, Christ Jesus and I will wait for You, the God of my salvation, knowing that You will hear me. And I am thankful, and so it is! Micah 7:7
