Zelensky talks PM, hopes Johnson will have a place in politics
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported on the 27th local time that the country's Prime Minister Johnson will step down on September 6. In this regard, Ukrainian President Zelensky said in an interview with the British "TalkTV", "I hope he has a place in politics, I don't want him to disappear."
According to reports, Zelensky was interviewed with his wife Olena Zelenska. "I have no right to influence British politics. What I can say is that (Johnson) is an important friend of Ukraine," Zelensky said. He added: "I want him to have a place in politics and become a figure. I don't Hope he disappears, but the decision is in the hands of the British people."
Zelensky also added: "But I'm sure that no matter what position he (Johnson) takes, he will be with Ukraine. (I) think so from the bottom of my heart."
On the other hand, when asked what he would say to Britain's Conservative leadership candidates Truss and Sunak, Zelensky replied that he would be "delighted" with any of them who become Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. One-man collaboration "just like we did with Boris in the past".
