Service of Praise And Remembrance for Jeffrey Lee Sigmon

Jeffrey Lee Sigmon, 59, of Newton passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

He was born August 31, 1962 in Catawba County to the late James Butler Sigmon and Mildred Klaus Sigmon. Jeffrey was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover and a United States Navy veteran.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Butler Sigmon; and mother, Mildred Klaus Sigmon.

Brothers: Jon Sigmon and wife Kay of Blowing Rock
Jerry Sigmon and wife Deana of Claremont

Vicky Sigmon of Claremont

Grandchildren: Zackery Vagh and Katelyn Freedale

A service to celebrate Jeffrey’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover. Rev. Scott Johnson and Rev. Anton Lagoutine will officiate. Burial with military honors by American Legion Post 544 will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Those serving as pallbearers are; Jon Sigmon, Jerry Sigmon, Jamie Sigmon, Jesse Sigmon, Logan Quinney, and Trevor Ward.
