Reformed Preacher Portraits | John Piper

John Piper is a name that has become widely known in Evangelicalism. His sermons, books, articles and resources have impacted the lives of countless Christians as he seeks to declare the glory of God in all of life. One of the biggest impacts on my life of his ministry has been to help me delight in God more and become what he has called a "Christian hedonist". His most famous phrase, "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him" rings true in my life and helped to transform the way I thought about an old stuffy religion to a vibrant and joyous, life-giving faith.

The Reformed Preacher Portraits is a series of portraits (both artistically and biographically) of some of the preachers/teachers/authors who have helped to shape my faith and theology. I'm thankful for the way God has used these men to deepen my understanding of His Word and zeal for His Kingdom. My hope is that by doing these illustrations, I can both honour these men and also perhaps highlight their ministries for others to also be blessed.
