Apparently Pigeons Swim...Who Knew?! 🐦🤿🤔 #shorts

I've gotta say, this was a weird fishing moment for me.

I was just fishing for common carp and was giving my #insta360oner the voice command to stop recording, when all of a sudden a Pigeon comes flying in and crash lands on the water. I started recording again and was going to reel in my line to see if I could stick my fishing rod out to it, so it could climb out of the water but it came swimming in so fast to shore and then went towards a fallen tree in the water. It Sat on the tree for quite some time.
I didn't notice right away (because I was recording and looking through at a small screen) but it looked like it has a large gash in it's chest, like some bird of prey like a hawk or eagle tried to catch it for dinner but it managed to get away? I'd be just speculating but that's my best guess as to what happened.

Before this day, I didn't know that a Pigeon could swim! Hopefully the little fella survived it's injuries and lived to see another day.
