If you're prepping for SHTF, then it's important to understand your primal nutrition. The earth provides all the needed vitamins and nutrients that we could use and identifying the most important ones is our goal. I talk with Brigitte about how to build a diet that fits your current lifestyle and that will help you transition into any SHTF scenario that may come. Once you understand the basic building block of nutruition, you will have the ability to prepare your body for any endurance requirements.

Overview:

1. What simple things can the average person do to optimize their performance using food strategically?- Avoid temptation in buying junk food. Better to have an empty stomach than onefull of energy depleting products- Avoid convenience store and fast-food restaurant- Avoid brand names- do not let yourself be tempted by uncontrollable cravings- Make a special occasion for eating- Eat in silence- Chew food at least 10 times or more before swallowing- Eat simple cooking; raw food in the summer and lightly cooked food in the winter- Intake fats in the morning or eat like a king at breakfast, a queen at lunch and apeasant at night- Allow time for a tea break with a date or a cookie in the afternoon- Sipping when drinking keeps the body relaxed and provides satisfaction

2. What foods are best for the immune system?- The immune system preserves the structure of the body and also defends the body against outside substances. It also continuously eliminates abnormal, malignant, and vicious cells. The defense mechanism produces specific antibodies which are called killer cells. Humans and animals have this. - Raw or steamed food- Spices - Yogurt - natural - Non-processed food - Moringa. Used to build and strengthen the immune system. It’s a medicinal tree,which grows extremely quickly, about three (3) metres in height per year. Good against hypertension, diabetes, AIDS. extremely rich in vitamin C and calcium. the seeds of the Moringa trees are extremely oily, whereby the oil can be used, among various other possibilities, as a lubricant and as fuel for machinery. dirty water can also be cleaned with the seeds of the tree, and indeed, very much better than what any chemical can do. mainly grows in South Asia and in North Africa- Vitamins and minerals are essential for human life. They should be taken in daily with food, if possible- Vitamin A (Retinol) Pork liver and vegetables with high ß-carotene content: carrots, tomatoes, spinach, kale, green beans, broccoli, lamb's lettuce. Vitamin A:
necessary for vision, keeps skin and mucous membranes healthy, strengthens the immune system, antioxidant.- Vitamin B6 Sardines, mackerel, meat (beef, pork, chicken), red peppers, green vegetables (cabbage sprouts, green beans, lamb's lettuce), whole meal products,bananas, potatoes, soya beans, wheat germ, hazelnuts, walnuts.- Zinc. Meat, oysters, eggs, milk and dairy products, sprouted seeds, whole meal products, pulses, nuts. It activates the immune system and acts as an antioxidant. Zinc from animal foods can be better utilized than that from plant foods.- Selenium. Meat, fish, eggs, cabbage and onion vegetables, lentils, asparagus, mushrooms, Brazil nuts. Protects as an antioxidant against cell-damaging substances, strengthens the immune defense, promotes the build-up of thyroid hormones. Reliable sources of selenium are meat, fish and eggs.
