Farm DIY water & fire trailer

On my 'to do' list for the summer was the intent to build a fire fighting/irrigation trailer. I already had the pump and had purchased a used tandem axle trailer and 1000 litre (IBC) water container. So I spent a couple of days this week putting it together with the help of Charlie at Goulburn Irrigear. I revised the design a little each day as various fit and function issues became apparent whilst I built it. I've since hauled it across the farm, up and down tracks, filled it from various dams, transferred water to and from other IBCs and used it to water an orchard I planted recently and filled water troughs in some paddocks without a water supply. All in all it has worked well, its a flexible system and its quick to setup and operate.
