Federal Bureau of Prisons Director Kathleen Sawyer testified on the operations of her agency before the Senate Judiciary Committee. She was asked about the ongoing investigations involving the death of Jeffrey Epstein, a hedge fund manager who was charged with sex trafficking. Mr. Epstein died at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City while awaiting trial.
