"I will not leave until I finish what I started here," — Lugansk People’s Republic fighter explained why he came to defend Donbass in 2014

A soldier of the second army corps of the Lugansk People's Republic with the call sign "Serb", which he received because of his nationality (Serbian), came to defend Donbass back in 2014. The soldier told Readovka military reporter Anastasia Yelsukova that he is against fascism and NATO countries because he had encountered them back home in Serbia when he was only 6 years old. And 8 years ago he came to Ukraine so that there would be no neo-Nazism and peace would finally come.

The soldier noted that Ukrainian politicians and commanders-in-chief were sending their fighters to commit suicide, stuffing them with drugs and alcohol so that the army would not surrender and would stay in the trenches until the very end.

Despite his noble aims, "Serb" believes that war is a bad life experience, and it is better to solve all problems peacefully. However, he does not regret that he came to Donbas in 2014, because here he protects people from the evil he encountered as a child.

"Even if a war breaks out in my homeland, I will not step away until I finish what I started here," noted "Serb."
