How I make slimming Italian Style Hot Chocolate Drink. Vegan, sugar-free, light but rich smooth texture. Healthy way to help us fool our cravings.
Ingredients & Method:

1 cup of rice milk or any other light non dairy milk you prefer.
2 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder.

1 heaped teaspoon of arrowroot powder, tubers extract. it's better than cornstarch which is from grains.
(Arrowroot is a vegetable from the tubers family and it's similar to yam, cassava, sweet potato etc. Arrowroot powder is rich in important nutrients and minerals such as copper, iron, calcium, and lots of fiber.)
Stir quickly together to dissolve like the milk is still cold.
3 to 4 teaspoons of Xylitol, a natural sugar-free sweetener or any other you like
Stir continuously. Let it come to a gentle boil & then simmer for 4 to 5 mins
Add few drops of vanilla extract.
Stir one last time & turn it off
I am using a 100% no sugar added dark chocolate, just a few little chunks.
Mix well in the hot drink to dissolve. This gives the extra Italian style richness.

Although this is a very light slimming version, it has a nice dense & rich texture
It's Delicious, helps us fool a sudden chocolate craving easily & quickly
