we need to encourage the roots to start regrowing.Place the bunch in a glass jar.chop off any yellow or dried up leaves.Add some fresh water to cover & submerge the roots completely.Place jar on window sill for a few days until roots have doubled.Save these bits for when you make soup or salad, they will still taste nice.I bunch them all up with a rubber band & let them air dry.this is pot from my last batch (over 6 months ago) ready to be replaced. They are now completely spent, but they gave me a good yield.my new spring onions are ready to be planted. The roots have grown enough.water the soil to soften it Start planting each spring onion separately.Make holes with a teaspoon, pop the onion in & cover it back with soil.Tap the soil with back of teaspoon to make the onions stand up firm & stable.don't forget to compost the dried up spent batch.Place the pot on window sill Water it every day in the summer, every couple of days in the winter. They also love being showered now & Then, just as if they were rained on in they were outside. If you like these ideas, subscribe to get notified.
