Remove Stubborn Sticky Labels from Glass Jars

(I have 3 jars with various degrees of label stickiness See my longer video coming soon on my channel)

This is the easier one

Warm up some water at around 80 C degrees - do not use boiling, it will break the jar

Pour just little bit of water (about 1 inch) in the jar, put the lid on & shake the jar for a few minutes.

Hold jar on its side & pull label downwards from underneath, where the water is, as you pulling the label, the hot water helps release the glue.
There is no risk of burning your hands at all, it’s such a small amount, but maybe for the first time wear some rubber gloves

And that's it, it came off quite easily.

These residues will wash off in the dishwasher on heavy cycle. Just add them in together when washing larger pots & pans

Finally, put jars & lids in the dishwasher on Heavy cycle (for larger pots & pans) to remove any glue residues.

If you only use economy wash (lower cooler setting) you might need to scrub the glue residues first with a scouring pad

Et voila’, recycled, up-cycled, good as new & free glass jars to store your herbs, spices, seeds, nuts, grains etc
