DDS Sportstalk: ACC Atlantic Division 2022 College Football Predictio

We now turn our attention to the Atlantic Division of the ACC. The ACC is no longer just Clemson and everyone else. Up and comers NC State hope to have something to say this year.

1:47 Boston College.... Phil Jurkovec is a serious NFL prospect with some real ability in the pass game. However, are they able to retool their O-line after losing ALL FIVE STARTERS and how will the new OC do in his first year at Boston College.

7:17 Syracuse.... It's bowl or bust time for Coach Dino. Will they be able to make the strides necessary and be able to ride the coat tails of their star RB Tucker and their duel threat QB Schrader? A New staff is in place and Coach Dino isn't holding anything back... at least we hope. Improvement at the passing attack will be necessary to make a bowl this year.

10:50 FSU... Mike Norvell doesn't seem on the surface to be on the hot seat but after a lack luster season last year and the luxury of return of 15 starters this year, it feels like the FSU faithful want to see their team take a step forward and beat some of their in state and in conference rivals that they have fell to in recent years. Can he handle another poor start to the year like he had last year? I doubt it. The ACC is improving year after year. a good FSU makes both the ACC and CFB better over all.

15:50 Louisville... There's no doubt the Coach is on the hot seat. Malik Cunningham and Tiyon Evans definitely give the Cardinals the offensive ability to put up some offense, but can they improve on defense? Also, will Malik be given full freedom to be able to run the offense the way he needs to be able to win with this team? Or will the coaching staff hold him back and try and make him into a pocket passer?

20:47 Clemson... With possibly one of the best defenses if not THE BEST defense in all of CFB, they will keep them in the game with just about anyone in the ACC as well as all of CFB. However, the have to improve at QB. DJ Uiagalelei hasn't proven to be the world beater that everyone expected him to be. Dabo Sweeney has shown that he isn't afraid to make a change if it is necessary (Trevor Lawrence replacing Kelly Bryant). Don't be surprised if we see young QB Cade Klubnik come in relief to try and right the ship.

27:29 NC State... With star QB Devin Leary returning as well as a whole host of other returning players on defense, the term DARK HORSE comes to mind. This team will give everyone in the ACC fits this year and it wont surprise us if this team ends up upsetting Clemson and Winning the Atlantic and possibly the whole ACC.

31:05 Wake Forest... after being the dark horse of 2021 in the ACC, there's no more sneaking up on folks. Another highly touted QB in the ACC Sam Hartman will keep them in a lot of games this year but they HAVE to improve on defense under a new defensive staff in order to be able to back up last year's performance.
