Jesus was crucified in the Quran?

Sneaker's Corner seeks to explore in a critical way the origins of Islam. Successive scholars have noted how historically unreliable both the Sira and Hadith are on which a correct interpretation of the Quran (and its origins) depends. The goal here is to unpack the earliest sources from the 7th century. How Islam began is a fascinating mystery, and in this regard, I must credit the work of Dan Gibson, Patricia Crone, Angelika Neuwirth, Andrew Bannister, Robert Hoyland, Robert Kerr, Ahmad Al Jallad, Robert Spencer, Stephen J. Shoemaker, and many, many more who from different backgrounds have been asking challenging questions and contributed to my current understanding of Islam.
